Xavier Gual (Barcelona, 1973) holds a degree in Catalan Philology and is a journalist, scriptwriter, and teacher. He has published several novels, such as Els tripulants, winner of the Ribera d’Ebre Narrative prize in 2000, and the compilation of tales Delirium tremens, winner of the Mercè Rodoreda Prize in 2000. He has published several bestselling YA novels, including La noia de la caravana, for which he won the Ramon Muntaner prize in 2017.
