14/11/2024

The NóM Festival (New Operas of the World) will feature the work at the Biobío theatre from November 21 to 23. This project, promoted by the Gran Teatre del Liceu and in collaboration with the Institut Ramon Llull and Ópera Latinoamérica, is the first international edition.

Filles del món (Daughters of the World), directed by Alicia Serrat and composed by Marian Márquez, is mentored by Àlex Ollé. This project not only provides a fresh perspective on the operatic genre, but also engages the local community. Singers, musicians, and the technical team from Teatre Biobío will participate in the performances, and university students from Concepción will contribute to the creation of scenery and costumes.

The goal of the Òh!Pera project is to enhance the education of young creatives in Barcelona by offering an immersive experience in the world of opera. Participants will gain practical knowledge and work on real projects, with the guidance of specialized professionals. The initiative, spearheaded by the Liceu in partnership with the Department of Tourism and Creative Industries of the Barcelona City Council and the Disseny Hub Barcelona, promotes excellence and high-quality standards in the acquisition of performing arts skills.

This collaboration project between institutions and academia aims to showcase emerging talent of a new generation and create an international network of artistic exchanges and collaborations.
