David Cirici (Barcelona, 1954) has worked as a language and literature teacher, a scriptwriter for radio and TV, and an advertising agent. He has published several YA and adult fiction books and has received many important awards such as the Ramon Muntaner Award for Young Adult Literature (both in 2011 and 2013), the Strega, the Marià Vayreda, and the Sant Jordi Novel Prize. His works have been translated into several languages.
