In her novel, writer Tina Vallés introduces us to Claudia, a little girl who has a school homework assignment to interview someone who has an interesting job. It so happens that a mysterious new neighbour has just moved into the building where she lives. He rarely leaves home and has lots and lots of books. Claudia decides that she is going to interview him and find out what he does for a living.
The author manages to pique the reader’s interest through the unusual manner in which the two characters communicate by leaving Post-it notes with friendly messages on each other’s front doors, while Claudia tries to find out what’s going on in her neighbour’s apartment. What is keeping him so busy? Is there a secret or is it just Claudia’s imagination?
