Despite being a newcomer to the world of children’s literature, Anna Font won her second picture book award with this title. Gafarró’s New Hat tells the story of a man who feels uncomfortable in social situations. One day, though, the wind plays a trick on him, taking his hat away and forcing him to mix with people on the street. Anna Font manages to mix text and illustration as skilfully as she blends the main character with the people around him.
