Moss is a middle-grade novel that won the prestigious Edebé Prize in 2013. Since then, it has been translated into numerous languages, won several more awards in Italy —including the 2017 Bologna Children’s Book Fair audience prize— and it has been brought to the stage. It is a story about the horror of war, narrated by Moss, a dog who sees his home and family disappear when a bomb drops. He sets out on a journey of survival and in search of his owners. The original canine perspective and his innocent, tender narrative voice, allow the author to speak about serious issues in a way that children can relate to and understand.
