With this novel, Puigpelat—one of the most agile writers on the Catalan literary scene — took home one of the most important prose prizes for teens. In this adventure set in the Atlas Mountains in the early 1940s, two rival archaeologists —one backed by the Nazi regime— battle to be the first to find Atlantis hidden amid the mountains. The other main characters are some sort of a Yeti and the two young locals who guide the archaeologists, and whose feelings and attitudes are highly relatable for readers.
