Killing the Nerve is a stark reflection on youth. The rabid search for an answer. A wild, untameable urge spurs the author on a nomadic and penitent journey that takes her through Thessalonica, Jerusalem, across the North Sea and the Atlantic, New York, and the very bottom of her family’s private history.

Anna Pazos’ writing is sharp and defiant, sceptical and distant. A gaze in open revolt that transforms her insatiable appetite for experience-hoarding into literature. In the end, perhaps literature was always the answer and writing down her life, the only way to redeem it.
