Maria Girón (Barcelona, 1983) studied Fine Arts at the Universitat de Barcelona and continued her training in Bologna and Seville before returning to Barcelona to specialise in illustration at La Llotja school. Her illustrated books have been translated into several languages. In 2010 she was selected for the Bologna Children’s Book Fair to take part in a collective exhibition dedicated to Gianni Rodari. She returned to the fair in 2017 as part of another exhibition celebrating Catalan culture.
