Object

The purpose of this grant is to cover the expenses for travel, accommodation and/or equipment’s transportation outside of Catalunya in the fields of opera, classical or contemporary music for activities having taken place between January 1st and November 15th 2024 and contributing to the presence of the Catalan cultural creativity abroad.

Eligible performances must meet the following requirements:

  • Performances must take place in a professional circuit.
  • Ensembles must have at least 10 members.

Activities subject to any of the following conditions will not be considered for this call:

  • Those which are not included in a professional circuit.
  • Composers attending performances or concerts.
  • Attending fairs to perform in showcases.
  • Attending and participating in congresses, workshops, conferences, seminars or academic events organized within a context of formation.
  • Attending workshops and creative residences.
 

GRANT RECIPIENTS

 

Self-employed individuals and legal entities that meet the requirements in the guidelines are eligible for these grants.

 

APPLICATIONS

 

Only one application per ensemble and call will be accepted.

The minimum eligible amount of the application must be at least 2,500.00 euros per ensemble and call.

The maximum eligible amount is 50,000.00 euros per ensemble and year of activity. For those applications which don’t include activities outside of Spain, the maximum eligible amount per ensemble and year of activity will be of 30,000.00 euros.

The amount granted may cover up to 100% of the eligible expenses, up to a maximum of 50,000.00 euros per ensemble. For those applications which don’t include activities outside of Spain, the maximum eligible amount per ensemble and year of activity will be of 30,000.00 euros.

ELIGIBLE EXPENSES

 

Eligible expenses for grants are exclusively those related to accommodation, travel, and transportation of the freight (including expenses of temporary admission of goods and documents issued for that purpose) that have not been covered by a third party.

Where applicable, expenses directly or indirectly related to obtaining an entry visa and/or work permit in the country where the activities are carried out, provided that such expenses do not exceed 40% of the requested amount.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS

 

The application will be available in the Institut Ramon Llull online system during the period of applications of the call.

a) For Spanish applicants:

Legal persons and self-employed persons must submit their applications and complete the rest of administrative procedures (granting and economic justification) only online through the Institut Ramon Llull online system and the applicable signature system.

b) Foreign applicants (self-employed individuals and non-resident juridical persons) who apply for the first time to a grant from Institut Ramon Llull need an accreditation. In the case they haven’t been provided one before, they need to request an accreditation.

Institut Ramon Llull will generate the certification and send it to non-resident foreign citizens securely after having verified their identification documentation. The certification will be valid for five years starting from the submission date of the documentation that certifies the identity of the interested party unless any changes arise. Once the applicant has received their certification, they may complete the grant application.

Please take into account that you should request your accreditation at least 72 hours before the application deadline.

 

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION

Deadline for submitting applications is set in the call for applications.

April 9th to 23rd 2024.

Enquiries may be made throughout the application period until the last day at 2:00 pm.

 

RESOLUTION AND APPEALS

The Director of the Ramon Llull Institute will make a decision within a maximum period of six months from the date of the publication of the call.

If the maximum period has elapsed without a final decision of the procedure being issued and notified, applicants may consider their applications rejected due to administrative silence.

The decision does not exhaust the administrative process. An appeal can be filed with the head of the Department of Culture within one month from the date of publication.

    FORMS

     

    Applications must be completed through the virtual office.

    The letter of invitation must be submitted in the event no contract has been signed for those activities pending when applying.

    The Certificate of performance must be submitted in the event no contract has been signed for those activities already performed when applying.
